The wax will block out the areas of the fabric to be retained while the exposed area will be dyed with first colour. |

Hand-Drawn Batik is another traditional technique which produce an exclusive designs of multi-coloured shades.

| A tzanting is made of copper with a container for holding wax and a hallow pipe at one end to allow the wax to flow during drawing. Colours are then applied individually by brush.
